**Responsibilities and Qualifications**

We are seeking a highly skilled postdoctoral researcher to conduct research in the field of Arctic marine microbiology. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting molecular genetic lab work, analyzing high-throughput sequencing data, and collaborating with the research team to develop and implement bioinformatic and statistical analyses.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sediment core sampling and laboratory analysis.
  • Metagenomic shotgun/transcriptome sequencing and data analysis.
  • Collaboration with the research team to develop and implement new methods and techniques.

Qualifications:

  • PhD degree in Biology, Microbiology, Geosciences, Environmental Sciences, or related disciplines.
  • Experience in molecular genetic lab work and bioinformatic analysis.
  • Familiarity with marine ecosystems, the deep biosphere, or marine microbiomes.
