We are seeking a highly skilled International Export Manager to join our Distributor Sales organisation in Arla Foods. We are currently expanding within Distribution Sales and are looking for a new International Export Manager based in our new office in Carlsberg byen in Copenhagen to develop and manage selected markets within Turkey, South Africa, SSA, Central Asia & Indian subcontinent unit.

The Distributor Sales organisation manages a wide range of markets across the world from Latin America, Sub-Saharan Africa, Eastern Europe, Baltics, Balkan and more in an organisation of 38 very commercial and dedicated colleagues in Sales, Sales Support, Marketing and Product Management functions. We focus on building global brands across retail and food service channels.

Key Responsibilities

As the new International Export Manager, your main role will be to ensure exceptional sales performance and build branded positions in your market cluster. You will achieve this by leading sales-building initiatives in partnership with our local distributors/business partners. Furthermore, the ability to build trust and maintain strong relationships with our distributors is key to success.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing your own Business Area/market cluster, consisting of 5-6 markets and having full PnL responsibility.
  • Building trust and ensuring strong relations with our local partners and setting strategic direction for your cluster.
  • Developing and executing export strategies to achieve sales targets, expand market share and drive business growth. In close cooperation with our distributors, you plan business initiatives, prepare exact forecasts, manage pricing agreements to ensure profitability.
  • Identifying and analyzing new market opportunities and trends to drive business growth.
  • Working closely with Marketing and our Milk based beverage team to deliver on Joint business plans in your market cluster and work together on delivering the brand agenda with our partners.

You should expect 30-40 yearly travel days from your base in Copenhagen.

Requirements

We imagine the ideal candidate has:

  • A master degree within business administration, commerce or an equivalent area complemented with +3 years' experience within FMCG.
  • Experience in Key Account Management, Distributor Sales, or other relevant Sales or Marketing roles within FMCG.
  • You are comfortable manoeuvring in an international and multi-cultural setting where the social, cultural and working standards are quite different from what you are used to. This calls for personal integrity and a strong sense of occasion combined with the ability to interpret different cultures.
  • You are a pioneering figure who thrives on working under absolutely productive conditions. Being in a market that foresees immense growth prospects challenges and fascinates you.
