About the JobWe are seeking an exceptional Cancer Research Expert to join our team at the Biotech Research and Innovation Centre (BRIC). As a professor, you will establish your own research group within the area of cancer genetics, focusing on the role of genomic structural variation in cancer biology. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Conducting high-level research in cancer genetics, emphasizing genomic structural variations.
- Establishing a research program utilizing patient-derived omics data at a national and international level.
- Teaching research-based courses and guiding students.
- Developing and managing a strong national and international network.
- Providing research leadership, including guidance and supervision of researchers.
- Promoting knowledge sharing with the broader community, participating in public debates.
To be successful in this role, you must have a proven track record in translational research within cancer genetics, a strong holistic research program focused on understanding molecular pathogenesis, and the ability to attract competitive funding. You should also possess excellent leadership skills, including research leadership, teaching, and supervision.
