Role Overview

Mars, Incorporated and its Affiliates is seeking a highly skilled Senior Business Development Manager for Key Accounts in Denmark to join our Mars Wrigley Sales Team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining strong business relationships with customers, driving growth and profitability through effective sales strategies and close collaboration with customers. A key aspect of this role is the ability to understand customer needs and challenges, and leveraging that understanding to create value-creating activities and category projects.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Develop and Maintain Customer Relationships: Build strong and long-lasting relationships with customers to drive growth and profitability.
  2. Negotiation and Collaboration: Responsible for negotiation processes with customers and ensuring high quality and customer satisfaction at all levels.
  3. Sales Strategy Development: Develop and implement sales strategies that increase revenue and market share for both the customer and the company.
  4. Product Promotion and Launches: Promote existing and new products, and assist in completing product launches internally at Mars.
  5. Category Growth: Drive category growth cases through good insight-based analyses that benefit the category, customer, and company.

Requirements and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  1. A bachelor's degree in economics, marketing, or equivalent.
  2. A minimum of 4 years of experience in the FMCG industry, preferably in sales, category management, or similar roles.
  3. A good understanding of market dynamics including price, promotions, assortment, and space.
  4. Experience in negotiations, either through personal responsibility or participation in negotiation teams.
  5. Familiarity with data tools and software for sales analysis and reporting.
  6. Strong verbal and written communication skills in both Danish and English (English is our working language).
